Gift of Fire 5.1-5.2

I found this article really interesting because its cool to think about how copyright and freedom of speech had to be morphed and adapted for this huge new Internet medium.

The Communications Deceny Act is just a typical example from many where we had to create laws for the same type of problems we used to encounter in print and even radio. I personally think the CDA is a little too intensive and I can understand why it met so much backlash when it was introduced.

At the same time, a huge emerging medium like the Internet can't be without these steps in place to prevent indecent and lewd material from getting into the wrong hands.
